Recent diagnosis

by KiaKaha, Oct 07, 2009 04:39AM
I have recently been diagnosed with gluten intolerance by my naturopath. I've been following a gluten free diet for 3weeks now and feel sooo much better.
Tonight I ate what I thought was a gluten free meal and about 20min after started to fell unwell with nausea, stomach pains and bloating etc
I checked the ingredients I ate again only to find the soya sauce was full of wheat!!! I cannot believe how unwell I feel.
I am presuming my symptoms are from the soya sauce?

It's a very good possibility that the sauce is the culprit unless it was a gluten-free variety. YOu're going to have to be careful and learn about 'hidden' ingredients. Make sure to read labels carefully.

There is  a soy sauce made that is gluten free.  I found it at whole foods.
