What's the difference?

Hiya guys,

I'm waiting for the results to come in on my test for Celiac. I've been trying a gluten free diet for the past week and I have to say it made me feel better. I just wanted to know what the difference is between gluten intolerance and gluten allergy; is the one more severe than the other? Does an intolerance mean that you can still eat foods with gluten, just not to much? Or are they the same?

I think intolerance is less serious than allergy.  I know someone who's intolerant and she still eats a bit of bread sometimes.  My other friend's allergic and she can technically still eat a tiny bit of gluten.  But she doesn't, just in case.  She gets pretty severe reactions.

It does'nt matter! Adjust to what makes you healthy. Try Spelt bread, too.
