cortisone reaction

I had a cortisone shot in my elbow several days ago and my celiac disease symptoms(diarrhea) have returned. Does anyone know if a cortisone shot is not gluten free or would cause such a reaction?

Find out exactly what you were given in the shot and the name of the company making it.  Then call the company (often a pharmacy can supply the phone number), and ask if the drug is gluten free, including having all ingredients produced in a gluten free environment.  I have been glutened by cross-contaminated drugs before, so one needs to ask about that, too.  That is the best way to find out if your shot might have contained gluten.

I am appreciating your input here. Thank you very much. You have made me realize I need to dig even deeper, especially Rx meds.

Great idea, Thanks ... I am also diabetic so I was focused on blood sugar response and simply never thought about gluten  ugh!
Thanks again.
