Yes.....ulcurs in the mouth are sings of Celiacs disease.  To be sure you will need a blood test or....you wont like this.....a biopsy of your small intestine.  The only way to do this is for you to have a colonoscopy and they SUCK!  THe only bad part is the prep required for this procedure.  You basically cant eat anything for a 1.5 days and have to drink some kind of NASTY laxative.

whowa there last comment!  A colonoscopy is NOT a bad procedure, so don't scare marsha unnessisarily!  As mentioned, you are given instructions on how to clean out your intestines, not eating or drinking anything for a period and then to drink a laxitive preparation (that is flavored).  The colonoscopy procedure is done in the OR under general anesthesia.  You experience no discomfort or embarrassment.  A tube is inserted into the rectum and on through the large bowel and the doctor looks into optics that will show him any or no problems with your large bowel.  He is able to remove anything suspicious, and to do biopsies.  You feel no pain during the procedure. You wake up in recovery.  Most colonoscopies are done as an outpatient basis, meaning you needn't be admitted to the hospital.  Be confident.  There may be other reasons for ulcers in your mouth.  Consult your doctor AND you dentist.
