How are you? There are many possible causes why the neck of a baby can not hold his/ her head. This could be due to musculoskeletal or structural causes. Either way, it is best that further evaluation be done to determine the underlying cause. Complete medical history, physical examination and some diagnostic tests such as x-ray will help. Take care and regards.
