excessive salivation

I have a 5-year old son with athetoid CP.  Despite daily therapies, he has recently begun to salivate excessively again (which he did some years ago and we thought that he had overcome).  Does anyone know of a special or specific oral therapy (not drugs, but actual therapy) that would help?  His current therapists don't seem to be able to help him with this problem.  Please advise.

Hi,
How is your child feeling?
If he is having isolated increase in salivation without any cause then it should heal by itself.
If it associated with some other neurological disorder then intervention with help of drugs is necessary like Inj. Glycopylorate.
If there is some other cause like nerve pathology, then you need to treat that pathology first to get over this symptom.
Keep me informed if you have any queries.
Bye.
