frequent urnination

I have mild cerebral palsy in my left side. Is frequent urination((especially at night)) a coexisting condition of CP?

I have cerebral palsy myself and I have problems with frequent urination. My doctor thinks it might be due to the cp, or that it might be due to one of my other medical conditions.

The cp might be causing your bladder to spasm, which will make you need to urinate.

I take Detrol and I find that it helps a lot.

I have hemiplegia cp as well, I have the same problem. I don't know if it's caused by the cp, though I have had a few bladder infections in the past. I am going for a cancer screening this week, my doctor said increased urination is a side effect or cervical cancer. I was a little surprised by that, (I am only 26) and have been getting regular pap tests. (I have two small children, so it seems like I'm always seeing my doctor). Just make sure your doctor is doing ALL of your tests, sometimes small things can mean something else is going on.
