Blood in Vagina at 72
I am 72 and recently after using the toilet to wee, I find that when I wipe myself there's blood on the tissue. I am obviously post-menopausal. What could this be?

Hi,
Post menopausal bleeding at the age of 72 needs to be looked at with caution. This can be due to benign conditions like senile vaginitis, erosion, polyps etc. However it is necessary to rule out cancer. Pap smear, ultrasound scan of the pelvis and a thorough examination is necessary. Consult a gynaecologist.
Hope this helps.
