Causes of Cervical Cancer

Can anybody telll, what are the causes of cervical cancer? If you know than share you thoughts here.

Cervical cancer is caused by a virus called human papillomavirus, or HPV (some high risk strains)which is sexually transmitted. Other causes are smoking or having multiple sex partners. The risk of cervical increases when one is using birth control pills for a long time (5 or more years), having more than 5 children or if the mother used DES (diethylstilbestrol) during pregnancy.
