Just had D&C and Scope,Dr. said looked normal. Biopsy results in few wks. Doesn't It seem logical,since D&C fine,maybe Biopsy good too? I,had Post menopausal spotting twice. Cervical Dyslplasia yrs ago&Cone;to remove cells.
Apart from cervical dysplasia which is the first possibility, causes of post menopausal bleeding could be ovarian cyst fibroids and endometriosis, diseases of pituitary gland, hormonal imbalance of estrogen and progesterone, thyroid hormone imbalance and diabetes.
Your doctor may consider tests like blood sugar levels, thyroid function test, prolactin, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSA), estrogen, and testosterone. Imaging studies, such as ultrasound, X-ray, and CT scan or MRI brain may also be recommended in certain individuals.
