Is this a sign of cancer????? Somebody please respond because im really scared!!!

Hi, my name is Jamie, and im new to this site!! Im writing because I have a question. I went to the gynecologist 11 days ago to get a annual pap smear. The doctor told me that my cervix is kinda red, but I have no abnormal discharge.
I haven’t had sex in a 1 year, and ive been checked for std’s. I have no abnormal discharge. I do wear tampons, but ive been off of my period for 5-10 days before the exam. What could have caused the redness??? Is this a sign of hpv or cancer?  I do get anual pap smears.

Is a red cervix a common problem?
