Topotecan

Hello Doctor,

I am on second line chemo for ovarian stage IIIC.  I like to drink wine.  Will it interfere with the effectiveness of my treatement?
I get Topo every Friday for 3 weeks with one week off.

Hi,
Wine may not reduce the effectiveness of topotecan. However, it may lead to other difficulties, like nausea, anorexia etc. Overall, I would say - avoid alcohol if you can. If you must drink, drink in moderation
