Hi all, I havent been here for awhile because I have been......drum roll.... busy. Some of you have been so kind as to wonder how I am.
I think that I have been VERY fortunate: the Chiari malformation was the source of my numerous symptoms, and I do not have any underlying conditions, including diseases of civilization.
I spent 16 years misdiagnosed, & sometimes I feel sad/angry about that. If I were younger, I could maybe return to work. But meanwhile, I have several years of filing, housework, mending, sorting, socializing, etc. to catch up on.
I even took a 3 hr. class on foraging. (it was 39 degrees & pouring rain too!).
I had the usual 30 symptoms, but now I still have some nausea (which I learned to ignore), & my body temp is still erratic. My head will feel feverish while my feet are ice cold. The more I do, the worse the dysautonomia is.
I take only ibuprofen prn.
Oh, I had a sinus infection, for months, that held my recovery back! As soon as that was treated, I felt better immediately.
Happy spring!
