ADA changes effective Jan 1 '09

"ADA Amendments Act Takes Effect Jan. 1:
Get Ready For New Challenges"
it changes the language requiring  an aliment to impede a major life activity and there is an amendment on the exsisting law anad result in an expansion of who can be classified as "disabled".

I recently applied for disability. My work is in process. I wonder if I'll be "grandfathered" in or have to go under the new changes?

I believe from what I've read so far the amendments will help us get acknowledged as disabled easier then before.....and it also appears should take less time...SS right now is at least a 2 yr wait with most contesting a denial.
