I agree...the biggest reward is that it halted my progression...as my symptoms were snowballing so quickly..
The biggest improvement for me is with my gait...I couldn't walk more than a few steps without pain not to mention an very awkward stance...now I still have a limp and problems with balance but my gait is 80% better...
I hear too that you have to be patient and wait to see other improvements.

I am glad I had surgery! My head pressure is gone and headaches are slim to none! Although the process of healing is rough at times sore muscles neck shoulders are tight I know this too will pass!
Hello, ditto most of what selma has stated. My # of symptoms where just growing rapidly pre-surgery. Post op there was an immediate reduction with many of the symptoms disappearing completely at this point. Doc says I'm still in a settling period thus we'll know more by September.
Again, surgery is not a cure, but yes at this point I definately feel the surgery was a success. I'd hate to know where I'd be by now without it. Surgery was only ... wow 8 mos ago, doesn't seem like it but it was as of 2 days ago.
All I can say is listen to your body and remember 'nothing' is going to cure this thing. However, as with any neruo problem the more damage that is caused before treatment the more you'll have to deal with after treatment. The PFD does carry risks though so don't rush but it sounds as though perhaps your body is speaking????

HI...surgery may not get rid of symptoms...it is done to slow the progression of symptoms....
I had surgery and I am glad I had it...I still have symptoms, but nothing like b4 surgery...I no longer have drop attacks....
SO that is a big plus for me....it all depends on how and which symptoms u have prior to surgery and if u already have nerve damage from a blockage.....
And like with ne surgery u can develop other related issues u didn't have b4 surgery...all surgeries have risks.....ur dr should be able to give u an idea to what degree he feels surgery will help u.
I hope this helps : )
