Anybody else take Adderall?

I've been taking Adderall for about 6 years. I find it very helpful. Recently there has been supply issues so I ended up getting my last prescription at Walgreens. I started having panic attacks right around the time I started taking this pill so I'm guessing it's to blame but I just wanted to ask some fellow Chiarians. I didn't connect the panic attacks and the pill until about an hour ago when I took just a little piece of it and noticed it didn't have that sugary taste that I'm used to. I went to the emergency room last night after leaving a message with the Chiari Institute because I had 4 panic attacks yesterday and that is super unusual. I'm scheduled to go there on Thursday. The bad pill is from Corepharma and the pill I usually take is Barr. Does anybody have any experience with this or know how stimulants affect Chiari?

I am not sure what I think of ADHD honestly...I believe in the symptoms of it, and I believe that the medication has helped me manage those symptoms - but I do often wonder if those symptoms are caused by the chiari!

I take it for depression, chronic fatigue(like can't get out of bed ever), and it really helps me focus. I really hope that all these things are Chiari's fault. To be honest I don't really believe ADHD to be an actual treatable condition. If anything it just seems like a very noteworthy symptom of something more serious... In our case hopefully Chiari. (I say hopefully because it seems like Chiari can actually be fixed with surgery.)

Hm...well I also take Adderall...but it is for ADHD, though I have began to wonder recently if the vast majority of my symptoms of ADHD are caused by the Chiari....

I'm not sure how it effects my chiari...I did have a lot of anxierty and panic attacks when I first started taking it, but it went away after a few months. It took my body quite a while to adjust. I did notice that I had more vertigo and light headedness since I started taking it - but I am not sure if it is related or not.

That's pretty much all I can say about it....

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

Sorry I am not familiar with that med, and I have no idea how it might affect me, and it is possible it is u reacting to the med.

We can all have different reactions then those listed as a side effect....

Do keep a list of meds and how u feel so  u do not have a repeat of this later on, if a Dr would want to try it again.

Some of us do have panic attacks with out the meds....so keep track of all ur symptoms.

I see u have a specialist to go to, so u r covered there....do keep us posted as to how that visit goes for u.
