Bra Strap Question

Bra Strap Question

I was going through some older posts on back pain when I stumbled upon responses regarding not being able to keep bra straps where they belong....OMG!  I've always had this problem!  They never stay put even when the darn thing is brand spankin' new.  Is it the shape of the shoulders or something else anatomical?  Just wondering...

It could be the complete reverse.  Having a bra that does not fit properly (and therefore the straps dont stay up) can CAUSE a lot of pain.  I just recently got some new, higher quality bras and my straps stay up, my neck and shoulders hurt less, and it looks better overall.  It's an investment, but is well worth it.

Hi...I really believe it is our posture as a result of pain and the way our body just is as a result of having all this crap....pardon my french.

But, I really feel it is our posture...one of the things I was told at my first meeting with a Chiari NL at TCI is work on posture it will help with pain.

I looked into a method called Feildenkrais.....it is supposed to work wonders, but the book I bought was so difficult for me to understand..I gave it to my DD to translate...still waiting...lol...

But some cities have locations where u can go and take lessons to learn how to use this method...

I second good posture and well fitting bras.

I've become heavier/more full chested due to thyroid issues and have found that the heavier my chest is the more important it is to support it properly.  Otherwise, not only is my poor posture hurting my neck and back but also the weight of my chest pulls everything where it doesn't belong.

As long as the fit is right it may not be the bra....u have to consider the bra and posture.

I actually had one from VS as well for my DD's wedding and it was the best fitting bra I ever had...unfortunately I have since lost weight and it is too big, so I can no longer wear it....

If u had ne change in weight, u just may need a diff size.
