CISS sequence?
Hi all, hope everyone's well. Had my two month check-up on Friday (found out my patch is made of Duragen-anyone have any experience with this?)

The registrar has arranged my six month MRI for March as well as a CISS sequence - what is that? Is it another term for cine MRI?

Hi no this is not the same as a CINE ...a CINE MRI moves so they can see how the CSF flows....

CISS is a Constructive Interference Steady State ....this allows them a closer look....it is a 3 -D image. The three-dimensional constructive interference in steady state (3D-CISS) sequence can provide high-resolution images with excellent contrast between cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and solid structures.
