I am doing well thanks for asking.
:) Yup, not always posting but always around and ready to help :) Having vision issues in one eye now. They are saying neurological but after six weeks I am still trying to get to the right Dr. It just never ends does it??? Hope you are doing great Selma!!!!!
Zygy2 is the person to ask...and she does not always post so send her a PM to let her know you have a question....
I have heard the patch can stick...but I am not familiar with if it is due to the aspiration or something else....
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
I just wanted to give an update since I had my CT guided needle aspiration done today. The doc removed 40ml of fluid from the back of my head bcuz he said it was too dangerous to drain more (the fluid pocket was fairly large in size). I still have a significant fluid filled lump in the back of my head, but do feel that the pressure is much better. The fluid was sent for testing & I will follow-up with NS on Monday. I will likely need another aspiration of fluid next week.
My question is this------Is it a danger for the durapatch to stick to the brain post aspiration?? The radiologist mentioned something of this sort very quickly, but I was unable to get a clear answer as to if that was only if the leak was drained all the way. Has anyone ever heard of not being able to drain the fluid pocket completely?? I think I did read a post at some point (possibly Zygy2) that had the patch stick to the brain.........YIKES!!! This is scary stuff!!!!!
Hi...no, I have not had this but I would suspect the same limitations will be in place as if you had a LP....stay flat for a certain period of time following and keep hydrated and no lifting, bending etc....
Wanted to wish you a smooth procedure <3
