Guess my info was wrong. Hopefully you can get everything worked out and be on your way to feeling better soon.
I know it just *****!! I hope you find relief soon.
thanks pamk5. It just ***** cause I've had three surgeries for chiari and he is not even sopose to be adreesing the chiari asspect, see I now have intractainal hypertention or pseudo tumor ceribri and he was just sopose to evaluate me for a shunt. But it just ***** when dr tell u info u up is wrong.
Molly
Hey Molly sorry you had a bad day. I was told that by a NS that does some surgeries but he isnt a specialist. He has been practicing 16 years and has only done about 100 surgeries. Thats like 6 a year. 100 may have been a nice round number for him to pull out of his hat too!
Anyway, you arent alone with the stress of trying to find treatment with this illness. I hope tomorrow is a better day!
it wasn't a good day and I'm pretty upset. I'll write about it tomorrow cause today was a long day. Also if weingart is a specialist on chiari he ceartainly has an intresting veiw on it "once u have had the decompression ur fixed" his words not mine.
Molly
whats going on Molly??? i see your upset and hope that everything went okay at JH
(i believe it was today . . . . .) was thinking about you.
XOXO
jilian
Thank you for that information.
he's at johns Hopkins in Baltimore I'm not sure if he is a specialist or not.
Molly
May I ask where this Dr. Weingart has his practice at? Still looking for a chiari specialist.
Thanks
thanks everyone. And I'm glad u heard good things about him but he's doing my shunt surgery kinda unrelated to chiari but I'm glad he now about it!
Molly
I am THRILLED for you!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep us posted, Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck! i have heard many good things about him. I had my surgery there and from talking to the nurses, chiari and chiari related surgeries are not uncommon there, (a few nurses told me they see roughly 20-25 decompressions there a week) and most of the regular nurses knew more about chiari and the things we go through not getting proper help, than my primary doctor did.. I hope this makes you feel better about going there.. I loved it... and from what I hear Dr Weingart is a Chiari Specialist
good luck molly...you're in my prayers more than you know!
u have an angel on ur shoulder : )
