Chairi malformation

Hi,
I am 24 i before 5 month i suddenly got the numbness in my left arm and after 1 month of that its turn into burning pain so i go to the doctor and i found the chairi Malformation prob. so before 1 month i did the surgery of Arnold Chairi Malformation however my left hand pain has not recovered can you plz suggest me how much time it takes to get recovered from pain.

    Hi  and  welcome  to  the  Chiari  forum.

  I  have more questions  like the  above poster....did they  rule  out  ALL  related  conditions?

  That  was  a  fast  turn  around  from  DX  to   surgery...what  other  symptoms  did  you  have?  Did  they do testing  to  see  if  you  had  a CSF  obstruction?

  Surgery  for  Chiari  does  not  always  relieve  ALL  symptoms...this is  why it is  good  to  know if  you  have  any  other related  or  non  related  conditions  as  well....as  there  are  many  conditions  with  similar  symptoms.

Where there any other issues with your spine, such as stenosis or herniated disks?

I have not had the surgery, so I can not answer that. Sorry. But, I'm sure someone will come along that can comment.
