Chiari Institute

Well I just wanted to share some good news.  The Chiari Institute has gotten back to me after only 2 weeks after mailing the paperwork and is interested in seeing me! Thank God - I will finally get some professional opinions sometime soon. The nurse I spoke to said I just have to mail my most recent brain MRI CD to them and she will present my case to a doctor and call me back with an appointment!  I had my high field brain MRI about a week and a half ago and am coincidentally going to get the results tomorrow - so I will make sure to head straight to UPS to mail them the CD right away. I'll update you guys on the results tomorrow....

Thank you.  Luckily my insurance does not charge me for the MRI CD's.  I got my results and it really didn't tell me anything I already didn't know except I have a developmental venous anomaly - which I am not exactly sure if that can cause any symptoms, but I am sure my neuro will explain it further on the 14th.  The herniation is still between 8-9mm - nothing was mentioned about CSF flow or if the herniation was causing any pressure and so on.  I really think I need that CINE MRI, but I will leave that up to TCI.  I hope to hear from them next week... I will continue to update.

Thanks for the good luck wishes =)
