Chiari Malformation

My new Neurologist just told me a couple of months ago that I have Chiari Malformation. My old Neurologist didn't tell me ,but she sent the MRI to the new doctor. I have to lift an average of 30 lbs a day at work, which I no longer due. But I was wondering with old doctor not telling me, could this have made it worse. My husband doesn't understand, he keeps telling me I'm a hypochondriac. I feel so alone.

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

We are all different in how we are affected by this condition.....some never develop symptoms while others have severe symptoms....and what we do can affect how we feel.
It is important to have testing to see how your Chiari is affecting you and your overall health....that would be a MRI of the brain, cervical spine, thoracic spine and lumbar spine....then testing for related conditions and non related conditions as some symptoms may be from something else.

Did lifting the 30 lbs trigger symptoms?

What symptoms do you have...did you have that you had the MRI and how long ago did you have the MRI the older NL sent to the new one?
