Hi everyone,
just wanted to update you all as you were so kind to reply to me :)
I went to the emergency surgery at the doctors the next morning, and was seen by the doctor who usually sees me so knows about my op.
She said i didnt need to go to hospital as she didnt think i had done too much damage and she just thought i had a mild concusion and whiplash.
She also sent me for my eyes testing i think to check for extra pressure, but my eyes were fine except the optician said i have problems focusing and concentrating but she wasnt sure if that was from the bang on the head or the chiari.
The dr said i should start to fel better in a couple of days but so far no better.. actually started to feel abit worse yesterday :( but i know its prob going to take longer due to my chiari and the surgery only been 6 months ago.
I agree u should get checked.....or at the very least call ur NS and see what they suggest u do.
I hope u feel better soon, keep in mind u r still healing and this just may hang around longer due to the fact ur body is still healing....
Keep us posted on what ur Dr says.
Okay thanks i will do..
Im just so used to some of the chiari symptoms these days i forget they can be serious x
I do feel dizzy almost everyday anyway but it has been worse today it seems to be everytime i stand up or streach or bend or anything really is setting it off i almost fell down the stairs earlier as i went dizzy and lost balance
This is NOT normal. You need to get it checked out and very soon.
Hi thankyou for your response..
I have a number for my neurosurgeons assistant but she wouldnt be there now with it been midnight i think she is only in thru the day.
I didnt know if i should go to the ER or not and have just took more pain meds and come to work instead but the pain is still pretty bad :( ..
I would have stayed home but i cant afford anymore time off :(.
I only have 2 hours left of my shift do you think i should ring the hospital when i get home? I could ring the 111 number and see what they think i should do?

Also the back of my head feels really tight thats just started coming on the last couple of hours or so do you think it could be related to the bump? x
Any time you hit your head and feel dizzy it's a good idea to get it checked out. Do you have a number you can reach someone on call with your neurosurgeon? or maybe even the ER and see what they recommend ... I'm betting a CT scan.
I am almost 6 months post op.
