Columbus, Ohio neurosurgeon

Has anyone been to a doctor in Columbus that treats chiari malformation?  Looking for someone to see.  Dr Di has left CC, he would have been my first choice.  Any suggestions?

Many of us have also had other DX's even after Chiari was found on a MRI....Chiari is not rare but well informed and experienced Drs are....so educate yourself on Chiari and ALL related conditions and find the right Dr.

I too am looking for a good Neurosurgeon in Ohio. I'm only about an hour away from Columbus. I just had an MRI on the 24th of this month and my doctor, well actually my Nurse Practitioner called to give me the results. Luckily he cared enough to have an MRI done. My doctor kept blaming my severe headaches on other things. I have an 8mm Chiari Malformation. I have several symptoms, but didn't realize they was all due to Chiari Malformation until I researched it. Now I'm hoping I can find a Neurosurgeon that will help me because I can't live my life like this. I hope you are able to find one to help you too.

Thank you for the information. That would be great if Dr. Di was coming to OSU.  Not sure if any one knows for sure yet where he is going.  I will probably have my GP send my info. to Dr. Prevadello and go from there.  I'm thankful to have found this site.

I am hearing good things about Dr. Prevadello in relation to Chiari--Also, Dr. Chiocca (who just performed my surgery to remove a brain tumor) and Dr Rezai all at Ohio State Neurosurgery.  Good Luck!!  I have been thrilled with the NS team at OSU thus far and am hoping Dr Di will be joining them.

I have to agree with u on all accounts...this can be a very frustrating journey...and finding the right dr is key, and having the right support is crucial.

This forum was my God Send....and I pray we can be the same for u : )

Thank you for your reply. I am only one of many who are dealing with this condition so I'm glad I found this place while seeking information on the web. It is a challenge to seek the right doctor and to get the help all of us need.  It's great to have a forum where we can share thoughts, ideas, our struggles and encouragement.
