Thanks Rylanesmom,
Waiting to hear back from her. Selma, I will let you know what happens.
Pseudotumor can cause that. I have empty sella fom Pseudotumor and chiari. They said pressure is so high that pituitary is forces out of the sella where it belongs. She would need an endocrinologist. I know that lactating is a sign of pituitary not functioning correctly as it was a question I was asked....mine was ok. (pituitary)....just relocated
Please keep us posted on how she is doing.
Thank You so much! I will send her all of the info! I'm sure this will ease her mind a little...always good to know someone else is aware of what is happening and its not you "being crazy", so to speak.
Watch the educational video tapes from Dr Balagnese at the New York Chiari Centre. He explains everything, even the lactation was mentioned, as Selma said, due to the pituitary gland being flattened, when there is too much ICP. I am so glad I fould these videos -- I have learned so much!...now if I could only get my doctors to watch them!
HI...yes this can be an issue for those with Chiari in fact it was one of the issue when Chiari was featured on HOUSE...if the Pituitary gland is being compressed this can happen.
Here is a link to several threads on this topic and the HOUSE episode.
