Curiosity for you long time zipperheads....

Firstly, I am not a true zipperhead as most would view it. My surgeries have been endoscopic and I've misplaced the eyeballs in the back of my head but have been told the scar is about 2" long.

My question though is for those of you who through surgeries and life have reached a point where things are stable. By that I mean ones whose herniation has been helped to retract by one form or another and have good CSF flow. The question is this:

Do you at times feel as though you are still having some of the old symptoms? I ask because my inquisitive side wonders if what I feel at times is nerve memory, nerve damage or symptoms form one of the other conditions that have reared their ugly heads.

At least 2 of the other conditions in my head and neck area could be the culprits. So it is for curiosities sake that I am asking. They have dx what the Dr termed normal to high pressure hydrocephalus, an arachnoid cyst in the cerebellum area [the cyst doesn't like to stay fenestrated so seems to either be partially communicating or non-communicating depending on how it feels that day] and a reoccurring  in the pseudomeningocele cervical area that seems to do the same thing.

Nice to hear from you again.  I can say about my symptoms I have had 3 surgeries 4 in all with a LB drain.  It was a misable time, but now 5 years later I have experience kidney failure. My family was finding me roaming in my house and I really don't remember a lot of 2015 because I was in and out of the hospital.  I actually ended up in the psho ward last July because they thought it was due to medication which it wasn't at all to do with it.  It all had to do with my Possatium and my sodium being so very low.  I almost died 3 times in the last 6 months.  We don't realize how important all the other things that go on inside our bodies.  I still have to ask my kidney Dr. if having Chairi has anything to do with my kidney failure.  I would ask your Dr. to do a complete blood panel on you and check all these out.  It does weird things to you.  I thought it was all due to Chairi so I kind of ignored it all.  I was just thankful my daughter came here to check on me because the Dr. said I would be here today if she didn't.  Just keep on top of all these things that are going on.  There is a reason for it.  Hope this helps.
Linda.

  Hey stranger....miss you !!

I consider you a true zipperhead even if you don't..lol....

For me, I was really feeling stable in fact better then I have in yrs and that includes yrs b4 surgery....then bam I was doing too much and had some issues that set me back for a few days....it is more low back muscles spasms  that radiate u into my shoulder and neck area so when it hits I have to stop, take meds and relax....I think it is more my TCS and EDS flaring then Chiari.....and take note I said I think....I do not know for sure......lol...

Also, I do not have the list of medical issues you contend with so we can not compare notes.....as we have apples and oranges and not really different types of apples....if that makes sense...lol...

Glad to hear from you and I hope you get answers....Praying you and the family had a wonderful Christmas.

sis
