Dealing with BAD Drs and BAD insurance?

Has anyone had bad problems with their Drs refusing to believe in their dx (for me dx'ed by TCI in NY and sent my info there against my dr's wishes, its cranial instability, EDS, Disautonomia...and possibly POTS(as a maybe) but my Dr refuses to communicate with the TCI NS who i consulted with and is basically ignoring everything straight up in regards to that....wrote in my file recently that because i had mild congestion at that specific visit my daily headaches must be allergy induced and that flo-nase would fix it. (SERIOUSLY?!)

My second issue/question....has anyone had BAD insurance thats got you in a complete trap where you cannot get any help or coverage for a dr who DOES know whats wrong?? How do you get around this with a crappy doctor who wont even acknowledge your issues or even TRY to learn about them(which would be the only way my ins *might* cover needed help)?? I am at such a loss right now! My insurance only covers ONE clinic in our town....and thats the ONLY place in the whole world thats covered! we get ZERO choices! We have no out of network coverage and no exceptions to that rule... (and, obviously no money to pay for testing etc etc thru TCI out of pocket...because you know we arent millionaires and such...)

Any advice, relate-able stories etc, anything is helpful! TIA!

I have had my fair share of bad doctors. Just to name two instances...one of my doctors told me I didn't have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and when I said I did she turned the computer around and pointed to the negative antibodies on the screen. They were negative celiac antibodies which I pointed out to her. Talk about awkward!  The other doctor told me I had the "sensation of not being able to breath" when I had severe bradypnea down to 6 breaths a minute. O_o smh.

I do live in Australia so I don't have to worry about insurance. I see bulk billing doctors for free and sad to say I've had to visit many to get the tests and treatments I need! Sad state of affairs.
