Hi.....u r getting one of the best drs in this field.....but, ur feelings r normal.....to read about other experiencesafter surgery, please see the thread titled how many zipperheads.

I pray all goes well and at ur pre op meeting with Dr O that u find how well informed on chiari and chiari related conditions he is.

I know we had several members see Dr O.....I do not remember who tho....u might also want to look at the list of chiari specialists threads....or list ur surgery date.

Please keep us posted on ur progress.

Hi there  -

I am having my decompression surgery with Dr. Oro on Thursday May 21st.  It is in just a few more days.  I am very, VERY nervous about it, but confident in his ability to help me.  I think he is wonderful.  I would be glad to share my experience... just a few more days.  :)

I hope both of you are recovering nicely!  Wasn't Dr. Oro just awesome?!

Karen, you are in such good hands with Dr. Oro!  He has a fantastic reputation for being one of the best in the field.  He eased my mind about the surgery (as much as could be expected anyways) and took the time to answer all of my questions without making me feel dumb.  In fact, I cried tears of relief when I saw he believed every word and symptom I described without looking at me as though I'd lost my mind.  I could not have been happier with him, his staff, and the hospital.  Best of luck to you!

Andrea
