Dr. Michael Mervart--Ohio NS--other Ohio NS's???

At a crossroads as I know I need to have the decompression done...Dr. Heffez wants to see me at WCC and TCI is gonig through my records, but since I don't have out-of-network coverage, those options have the added financial piece to consider.  I have been tested for anything and everything CM-related, auto-immune related, connective-tissue related, blood related....and it all comes back to CM as the cause.  But, I get the feeling the NS I am currently working with will not do surgery until there is CSF blockage.  Mervart is in my insurance and was on the list.  I saw Recinos a few months ago, but she didn't feel I was a surgical candidate at that time--before all of this other testing was done.  So, help me decide.  It's hard to go with someone who doesn't completely 'get it'....we are talking brain surgery!!!

Good tips as always :)  Giving a call to ins co in the morning to see what can be done.  And, then maybe I need to talk more with the NS to see where he really stands.

  We can not help u decide...and if u need our help, u do not have the right drs......once u have the right drs u will know and not need input from us.

I understand ur issues with insurance...I too had to deal with that...but, when u r talking brain surgery...and having the right dr...u find a way to make it work.

Try non profits to help subsidize and fund raising......

   And appeal to ur ins comp to see just how far u can push them to help regardless of where u go.
