Dr. Pokrupa

Checking to see if anyone has had Dr. Pokrupa doing any of the syringomyelia surgery or Chiari Malformation surgery..For over 4 years I have been treated like I am nuts and was told Jim had a complex case by 3 Neurologists in Kingston Ontario..
Now found Dr. Pokrupa and he is doing imaging of jim going through his nasal passage on Wednesday coming. I am so afraid. He had a CFS leak and EGO's Neuro's would not find some one who could help jim.. I feel like I am on the edge of a cliff ready to fall off these days..
Please help me if you know of anyone.. thanks so much..

one person posted and said this was her doctor.. just praying she see's the post and tells me more.. so limited in Canada.. thanks for your reply...

  Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

Not sure if anyone has been to this Dr, but look at the Drs list for Canada, if it  is on there it means a member went to that Dr, was treated by that Dr and liked the Dr....it is not however a referral nor an endorsement of that Dr.

Research will still need to be done.....finding a Dr that not only knows Chiari and how it can and does affect those with it, but to find one also well experienced with it and related conditions can be difficult....and those that do not understand DO make us feel like we are crazy or making things up.

Hang in there keep pushing for answers and if u must travel to find a Dr well experienced with this and related conditions.
