Oh I know, that is y I was willing to write a letter on his behalf even tho I never went to him, I was aware of him and all he has done to help those with Chiari.....
I have stated in the past, this reminds me of the story of Dr Louis Pastour.....sad.
I have e-mails for both that are still there.
Walker (pres.) & Hill are still there; their terms expire this year.
Dr. R.'s nurse was at the board meeting, & people were sleeping. He also wasn't allowed to have anyone to speak in his defense. (I think Dr. H. flew in).
It's an extremely undemocratic organization.
Oops and a William Walker.....lol...I know I deleted a few of them, but these still show in my contact list.
Do u know if a Thomas Mansfield or Thomas Hill are still on the NC Med Board? Those are the 2 names I found from the last time they did this to Dr R....
I was told second hand that he is to go before the board in August. I haven't called the office, yet. It could be part of the board's settlement with him; they have him on a very short leash, as you may know.
The board, appointed by the governor, is comprised of a rectal surgeon, an ENT surgeon, an allergist, a NP, a gastroenterologist, a family dr., an anesthesiologist, an OB/GYN, a general surgeon, & 3 "public members".
Even though the governor and the board changes, the higher ups--whoever they are--are out to get him for some reason.
What does this mean? That he could have his license suspended? I am scheduled for surgery with him in May.
I know what u mean, this poor man is only trying to help so many others like us and is being hounded by his peers and some that are not NS's trying to decide without benefit of the research that the surgeries are not required.
The last time this occurred I joined in with many other Chiarians and wrote letters...I may still have the e-mail addy for where to send the letters should it come to that yet again.
Please keep us posted.
