Have you had any surgery for your sleep apnea or sleep issue?  If so, what was your experience?  I think not getting enough oxygen in my body is what is causing me the most problems right down to digestion.  I use a cpap and also have the mouth appliance.  CPAP works best for me but simply not enough.  Any responses would be appreciated.  Thanks!

As an example, this week has been roug for me...freezing all the time, more out of breath than usual, my body temp has stayed 2 degrees lower than normal.  I usually run between 98.6-99.1 but have been 96.8-97.5.  I think the lack of oxygen and my blood pressure is staying low.  I just want to feel better and start exercising but can you exercise if you have lower blood pressure?  Just really thinking about asking for the sleep apnea surgery.  Not sure.  Don't know much about it.

I had the surgery and it seems to have helped quite a bit. Every now and again my wife makes me wear the CPAP because I'm having some issues, but it's a lot better than it was.

The week after the surgery is uncomfortable, but nothing you can't deal with.

Shane, thanks a ton for responding.  Which did you have?  I'm just now starting to research about it.  Looks like there was a UPPP but then a flap that is a newer technique?  I'm wondering what the criteria was as surgery seems to be a last resort and not sure how open the doctors are.  I know I have "severe RERA's" without a CPAP and a RERA index of 22.6 with a CPAP.  No OSA or CSA.  Just significant RERA's.

I don't really remember any of my numbers - on me, they removed my tonsils, adnoids, uvula, and part of my upper pallete.

My PCP refered me to my Otolaryngologist. Jst talk to your PCP and see what he/she says.
