Good situation

I had decompression April 3rd, three weeks to the day.  I am feeling really good and so glad I did it.  I was diagnosed and in surgery within 2 weeks.  My symptoms came on strong and quick so I didn't have much of a choice to move forward.  I do not have a syrinx or any other additional complications.  I just wanted to tell my story so people know that there are a variety of situations, so please don't always jump to the worst case.  I pray that the surgery was successful and I get relief.  I have a long road of recovery ahead of me but will continue to rest and get back on my feet.  Good luck to all of you and may God guide you to a pain free life that we all deserve!!!

So glad to hear you are home and feeling better.  I am going in for surgery on Monday and when I come home I will have a 3 yr old and a 6 yr old waiting to see granny.  I have been trying to prepare them to not run to granny for the usual hugs and play for a while. You are being prayed for and with.

Take care

I still have certain symptoms, but the majority of the pain is gone. Not all of it, but I'm better than I was.

I will keep you all posted.  I am having past symptoms but will continue to hope and pray that it is just taking time for them to leave.  I actually have a blog if anyone is interested in hearing my whole story.  I just wanted to share with others the mental side of all this as well as the physical.  it is holdmanshead.blogspot.com
Hope you are all well.  Those of you who have had the surgery, did you have symptoms come back?  some of them I am willing to live with especially now that I know what is causing them, but I pray some of the others don't come back.

Yes, congrats! I was in a similar situation; diagnosed and in surgery very quickly (3 weeks for me). That was last year and I'm still here!

Please continue to post. So many people, once the operation is done, don't come around any more, so people only hear the horror stories.
