Has anyone consulted with him and or has had surgery with him and his associate Dr. Holly? Dr. Batzdorf is associated with UCLA , and would be quite convenient for those livingAdvanced care directives in Los Angeles, and the surrounding area. Please share your experience, with him as well as the hospital where he does the surgery, which is Santa Monica hospital.
Thanks for any info you can provide.
I saw Dr,Batzdorf last year, nice older guy, took his time, looked at my MRIs ahead of time and examined me,he didnt think my chiari was causing my headaches, even though I have 8 mm hern. and partialPartial (focal) seizure Partial thromboplastin time (ptt) Thyroid gland removalblockagePeripheral artery disease so not sure what I think really, still suffering headaches but everyone else I talk to respects his opinion so I'm sticking with it right now and trying to figure out if something else is causing my headaches!!
In 1991, my vibrant mother WALKED in to UCLA for spinal surgery with Dr. Batzdorf to shuntCyanotic heart disease Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (tips) what he perceived to be a cyst on her spinal cord. It was not a cyst. It was scar tissue. She came out of that surgery paralyzed from the waist down and has been a paraplegic for the last 18 years.

I understand that 18 years of training and study since that fateful surgery may have resulted in Dr. Batzdorf becoming a world-renowned specialist his area - but my mom, and our family, were altered forever by his surgery.
I too wish you all the best,
