Having surgery--GET V NECK SHIRTS

Maybe you guys have already discussed this but I've never seen anyone discuss this or inform.  So something to add to your list for surgery!

I just had the Chiari Decompression surgery and the thought of clothing or collars rubbing my necks frightens me.

So while recovering at home, I'm enjoying wearing my husband's v-neck tee shirts backwards!  The V keeps the site clear of rubbing!

Thanks Majerus!
Yes it feels like a pressure headache so as soon as dr office gets in, I"m going to call.

Ray I've been using peppermint as it's good for nausea.

Sure I'll be at dr office today or in a mri at some point.

HI Jenny, That is a great idea with the backwards T.....I did not have an issue with my scar and collars.....mayb mine isn't as low?? not sure. But Great Idea!

As for upset stomach...peppermint can add to the upset for many, me being one that it does...so for those that can not stomach, (sorry had to say it) peppermint, try ginger.....it works great for me.

Good luck with the Drs office today !

As selma noted, ginger is helpful. It is a natural way to calm upset stomachs.  I usually drink ginger ale, can't get my kids to touch it though :-)
Hope you're feeling better soon...
