Oh...we do not have RMSF here, at least I have never heard of ne cases this far north...lol...
I hope u get a DX if u do have this so it gets treated...and soon.....
Nothing simple about ne of us huh?
Lyme's is here, but not as common as Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. We know that's in our yard, because my daughter's dog had it--even treated w/ Advantix--& was sick for a month.
I didn't know that RMSF could be fatal. And that NC has more cases BY FAR than any other state.
I'm so tired of this high-maintenance body; it's like a job, lol!
Oh u think u may have Lymes?....that can be very painful and debilitating....my DD's MIL has it.
My mom takes the amitriptyline...and yes it can knock u out....slow motion is the order of the day with it.....
Mayb ur NS will offer something else....
NP put me on hydrocodone & amitriptyline to bring the pain down. She wants me off ibuprofen (I've been on it for YEARS). She said I'd be miserable w/withdrawal for 2weeks. Oh yay. I asked if I'd want to murder my DH; she said no, I probably won't be a headline.
I can't go in the sun--or get too much artificial light--on amitriptyline (which I have had before & found it extremely sedating).
I'm supposed to go to an outdoor wedding next week.
So, I am not sure this is the correct advice, but maybe good enough until I see my NS next month.
My vet thinks I should be re-tested for tick illness.
Good luck, I was given TOPAMAX to help with the post op HA's....and it does help....and it was my PCP that RX'd it for me.
