I am sick of this noise in ear.....

Ive basically diagnosed myself with pulsatile tinnitus...

I usually only hear it when I look right. Ive posted and asked about it before questioning whether it could be cfs flow noise.

but after googling abit ive read other causes such as blocked arteries etc and other menacing stuff..

I am curious as to if I had any of these menacing causes if they show up on MRIs like a blocked artery in the neck? Ive had mris with and with out contrast and csf flow studies so surely if I had a vein or any other kind of problem in my neck it would have shown right?

Its starting to freak me out... I cant take another medical issue on top of chiari and my other health issues... I already want to stab myself in the ear lol

I know just what u mean......As long as I have background noise I do not mind it so much....so I always am playing music to help drown out the constant hummmmmmm...ugh....

Lately I have had to take OTC pain meds  for achey joints and HA's....seems there is always a need for the meds....the only time I was free from the sounds was immediately post op....

Lol....

U do not take ne OTC meds like Tylenol?

It does not need to be an RX....for this possible side effect....

It is also a symptom of Chiari so many of us  can have more then one cause for it....

I call that the buzzing I get that too...lol...love ur reason for it....haha

Im on no medication. And it is a heartbeat noise. Not buzzing or humming. Sometimes get like a static noise lol cause I have to tell people to "wait they are trying to contact me"( aliens ) when they are talking to me when it happens

The sounds in the ears, buzzing and humming can also be from some meds,
and OTC NSAIDS....so if u took them and now are not that could explain the change....

Glad u r doing better : )

If I recalled correctly one of the things they were looking for in one of my mris was at the arterys and stuff. And im fairly sure the report mentioned no problem. But I dont remember what I was told once I got told chiari I kinda blanked out the rest of the convo. I will bring it up with a gp next visit and see if they can send me off for further test.

it doesnt seem so bad today and had a fairly active busy day. Cant say ive noticed it as much as I have been this last week.. lol thankfully finally a little peace

Hi.....I also have had issues with jabbing ear pains and the constant noise....I did have my carotid artery checked via a ultra sound, mine was fine, but urs should be checked to rule out and to be sure u do not have an issue.

I was also having heart palps and have family history of heart issues....

My ultra sound found my arteries to be ok, but did see issues with my thyroid, so it is good I had it done as too many times the right testing is not done to discover the nodules on the thyroid.

Good luck
