I feel like I asktoo many questions...

Be gentle... I'm a newbie! I would ask my Neuro but, I feel like most of my questions are best answered by those who have been living with it.

How long do everyone's headaches usually last for?
Anyone have a weird sensation like your ears are full? Like on an airplane and need to pop?
Anyone that experiences nausea, how often do you have it?

Hi

had a wisdom tooth extraction and I personally feel that it was  the beginning of chiari symptoms. One of those symptoms was ear fullness ..

i dont keep a track of when it comes and goes but it does come ., especially during the seasonal changes .

By the way you are very much right in saying that more than the neuro drs people who live with the condition  day to day help us better by  answering queries

I actually did go to an ENT doc about ten years ago, long before I'd ever heard of Chiari, because I was having stabbing pains deep in my ear.  He told me nothing was wrong from that end and I know I don't grind my teeth.  My dentist and I have discussed it.  But that doesn't mean the ear issues are Chiari related.

I do appreciate the input though.  I think it brings up a really good point that there may be other causes to some of these random symptoms (acid reflux is another one that comes to mind).

Pls read my comment on the thread below about ear pressure.
I am not saying it's not Chiari related...but there is another possibility to consider.
I wish everyone with this problem would read and consider the possibility.

It was caught on an MRI backin 2003, I was just never told about it.

Well, it was there to begin with and you wouldn't have known unless they'd caught it on an MRI.  Who knows when or how it would have presented itself.

After doing a lot of research I think it was possibly the fact that I had 2 epidurals...Considering were not supposed to have those as it is

I've read some of your posts; it seems that way.  Mine was set off by a humongous sneezing fit while I was playing in a rec league soccer game.  Something that they used on the fields didn't sit well with me and I bet I sneezed 200 times over the course of a few hours.  On my drive home, I couldn't see straight and I thought it was my contact lenses.  The rest went downhill really fast.

I also have a 4 year old and a 5 month old. Im fairly certain That delivery is what triggered the onset of my symptoms

More power to you.  I don't have children and have a pretty low tolerance for noise.  What you just described sounds pretty close to a nightmare for me.

I COMPLETELY understand. I am the lead in a toddler room. It doesn't help that I am constantly bending, lifting, twisting, turning, etc... all while 8 one year olds scream!

Everything comes and goes but, the one constant seems to be a feeling of pressure or heaviness in my head that radiates from the back of my head

Yes, yes, and yes.
I've pretty much had a headache for three months; sometimes it's more tolerable and I can distract myself, sometimes I just have to get in the bath or lie down.  I haven't found a pill yet that could touch it and I've tried everything there is, it seems.

My ears come and go, usually only once or twice a day with a sudden hollow, underwater sound, then faint ringing, then it gradually returns over ten minutes or so.  I teach and sometimes have to pause class when it happens because it's too distracting and I can't really hear the students.

My nausea is *usually* limited to when I either lie down or stand up and it typically only lasts a few minutes.  However, the whole reason I logged in tonight was because I'm nauseous and my ears are faintly ringing, so naturally I thought I'd check this thread.  It feels tonight like something is pressing in the soft spot under my ears, my jaw is sore and I'm queasy.
Looking for a distraction...
Liz

Yeah, the nausea comes and goes.
The headache seems to be daily however, Ive noticed it comes one after I have been at work for a few hours or out and about doing a lot of walking.
My ears just started feeling funny the past day or so.

No worries, u can ask all the questions u like...

I had the sensation my ears needed to pop quite often....it would come and go...just as HA's would come and go...sometimes staying longer then the last time....

Nausea I too would get at odd times..very random....sometimes along with vertigo....

But yes to all u wondered about....and there is no set time frame for how long ne of it would last,

I have nausea quite often but it actually seems to come in waves. I'll have it for a few days to a week then it goes away and bam out of the blue it's back like an unwelcome houseguest that I just have to tolerate!!
The headache question is a little harder for me personally to answer as of lately they have been terrible with this crazy weather... 60 one day snowing the next is wreaking havoc on me! I wish Mother Nature would pick a season already!! Stress plays a role with them too. Mine can last anywhere from hours to 3 days so unpredictable!
Ears, oh yes! My if their not ringing they feel like their full of water or need popped when your on an airplane!!
Having Chiari is never ending fun!!! Always something :)
