Dr Michael Pritz seen my husband in Nov 2010. He came in, literally said no surgery, any questions and walked out of the room. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO HIM AGAIN!. He has NO bedside manners or compassion.
I have recently heard and found the name of Dr. Pritz at IU Med Center. I don't know anything about him really though. ???

Do you know if the Mayfield Clinic Spine Surgery Center is good? I heard that Dr. Tew there is a chiari specialist.
Just a thought, many hospitals will work with people who are in your situation. It takes legwork on your part though.
Here is where I would start, your choice though. Cleveland is just over a 3 hour drive from Richmond accourding to google map. Chicago is just a tad farther, though I am not familar with what is there. Below is a URL from the Cleveland Clinic's web site. Why not call them, tell them your situation and see what they can do to help.

No money, join the crowd. Just swallow hard, pray about it and make the phone call. The clinic has some very good doctors. The doctors work for the hospital so if the hospital looks at your situation and agrees to work with your all set. There is a program that is available to these hospitals where they can assist people who are just above the limits for Medicade to receive free or low cost medical help. I do not know, but would think that in your situation they maybe able to help. The phone call should at least lead you in the right direction.
This URL will help you to see if you may qualify:

Hope it helps.

I really liked him as a person and a surgeon.
I am still healing.....I had my surgery in May, but have other conditions that slow the healing process. Plus I have tethered cord also, so I am still having some issues bcuz of that.
Keep me posted on how u do with the Insurance co.

Well I would be willing to travel anywhere, but I my insurance will only pay for indiana hospitals. I went to the chiari institue and Dr. Insinga wanted to do my surgery, but he doesnt execpt my insurance and I cant find one that excepts pre-exsisting conditions and will let you get the surgery asap. Most of them make you wait a year and Dr. Insinga said I really need the surgery soon.
Hi...sorry I do not have Indiana on the list here, but many of us do need to travel inorder to get to a specialist. They r few in number, so to find one close to home may be difficult.
What neighboring states and or cities can or would u be willing to go to?
