Is there anyone suffering w symptoms after a successful decompression??

I have have my surgery 3 Yeats ago. I have had many MRI's to figure out what was saying all of my issues. But everything to them looked great. A successful surgery. Three years later, I'm struggling. Can't sit for over an hour, and at times can't do my own hair, plus much much more. Today I found out that I have bulging cervical discs but 2 are in rare places. C2-C3, C3-C4. Not really known to bulge. Chiari related?? They say No. They don't even know what's causing the bulging and the narrowing or my spine. Spinal Stenosis?? Please, tell me someone has a similar story to help me put the pieces together.

I could not sit before surgery for 8 months . After surgery I can sit but have to get up after a bit. My head gets real full and I start feeling weird. I can not sit in wooden benches or chairs, bleachers  any chair without lots of cushion. I have to wear tennis shoes at all times or get that same pressure weird feeling. I have buldged discs in my c5-6 c6-7 and a tad bit stenosis . What happens when you sit too long? Curious,  as my dr was baffled that I couldn't sit as well? He said the discs aren't bad enough to do anything with.

Hi Songbyrd72 and welcome to the Chiari forum.

Bulging disks and spinal stenosis is common for those  of us with Chiari...but I really feel it is  the Ehlers-Danlos that may be the true culprit.

Have you had EDS ruled out? All related conditions ruled out?

What are the issues/symptoms you had b4 surgery and what do you have now?
