Is this from Chiari?

Ok, a new day, a new question.  I have been having that sensation of hearing a whooshing sound in my head (like a heartbeat) when I stand up for a while now.  Lately I notice it happening when I go from a slightly reclined position to sitting up straight in my chair at work.  Sometimes with floaters -  like fireflies.

Is this from the chiari?

So far my NS has not even mentioned a CINE MRI, should I ask for one when I see him next?

Hi...when it is positional like that it can be a related condition called POTS.....Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS, also postural tachycardia syndrome) is a condition of dysautonomia, more specifically orthostatic intolerance, in which a change from the supine position to an upright position causes an abnormally large increase in heart rate, called tachycardia. Several studies show a decrease in cerebral blood flow with systolic and diastolic cerebral blood flow (CBF) velocity decreased 44% and 60%, respectively. Patients with POTS have problems maintaining homeostasis when changing position, i.e. moving from one chair to another or reaching above their heads. Many patients also experience symptoms when stationary or even while lying down.
Symptoms present in various degrees of severity depending on the patient. POTS can be severely debilitating. Some patients are unable to attend school or work, and especially severe cases can completely incapacitate the patient.

It can also be ICP....so a CINE may help...try and check ur BP when this occurs....

Just wanted to let you know I also took SelmaS advise about a CINE MRI.  I went to the NS yesterday and at 1st he looked at me kind of funny.  I was telling him about the pulsating heart rate.  Also I have noticed a very frequent urination problem, so thankfully he agreed and I am having a full spine flow study done next week.  Will let you know how it goes.  They said it will take 2 day's to have this done because they can't do the hole MRI in one day due to the magestic.  Just same as you and need answer's.  If you haven't had a MRI lately I would request one.  I didn't ask.  I told him I needed it.  Wish you the best.  Selma can they see POTS when having a CINE MRI?  they did say they will be able to see tethered cord.  This is the issue I am worried about right now, and reasurrance.
