Hi All here is a new thread for listing surgery dates that fall in the New year. I ask u all post on this thread ur date so I have one place to look for dates so I can post a prayer thread for u.

and we ask that u have another member or family or friend post updates on ur progress so we all know how ur doing post op.

If ur surgery is cancelled or changed, PM me directly and post the new date here with the old date in one post so it is all together....thanks : )

My sugery date is Jan. 30, 2012 for PFD for Chiari and another procedure to drain an arachnoid cyst on my cerebellum.

I gave him several copies of "Prepare for surgery, heal faster".  Even if you read it the night before, I think it would be helpful.  The surgery is just a few hours, but the healing takes a long time.

I am having surgery tomorrow 2/4 for endometriosis excision and d&c. I know this is not chiari related, but I am nervous and could really use some positive energy from my chiari family. Thanks!

My surgery is Thursday Feb. 4. I will try to have my husband post a update if he can fiqure out how to do it. I still don't know how to work this site very well yet. I have been trying to send you a post to ask you a couple of questions but can't seem to get it to work. I just wanted you to know all the info you post has been so helpful to me and i wanted to say thank you. i am so nervous about the surgery i don't know what to do with myself sometimes.

I meant the 7th in the morning. I am sorry I swear my brain does not work half the time. i dont know what i was thinking. I have to be there at 7 in the morning i guess it will start about 9. thank you for asking and being concerned

Thank you guys sooo much for the prayers, but with all the commotion going on lately, I forgot to update you guys. When I did my pre ops on march 18th, they called me a few days later to say I had a UTI (this happens all the time, but don't feel like I have one right now) so they gave me a 3 day antibiotic. So on friday my leg started itching, by sat. i knew it was a rash, called the doctors on sun. they switched my meds, and canceled my surgery. I have been rescheduled for April 12th. That was the worst count down for my life, now to have to do it again..grrrr Oh and by the way my sister had her twins <3 Jada Marie 5lbs 6oz and Jayden Mondrell 6lbs 5oz born @ 36 weeks healthy as could be <3

  It is "normal" to be nervous, if u weren't then I would be concerned for u.

Focus on getting ready and doing things with ur family that u will not be able to do for some time post op...go to a movie, etc...

Prepare meals and freeze them....and relax as much as u can.
