Looking for neurologist in East Tn , North Car, Va,WV?

I'm looking for neurologist that understands Chiari don't act like I'm crazy when I talk about the headaches,numbness in my left arm tingling pain,blurred vision,ect..If anybody knows a good doctor please let me know....I'm will to travel but really need doctor close...

welcome to the forum!  there is a thread if you scroll down a ways that list dr.s that the members here have used and liked.  but as with anything, please research the drs yourself as well!  which state do you live in?

I live in Johnson City,Tn so I'm 4 hrs from Nashville and about 2 hrs from Knoxville I'm close to NC,VA,WV but I'm willing to travel for good neurologist I'll check out whoever someone tells me about..Thanks for all the help...

Hi we have several members that have used Dr Hamph and r very pleased.

I can get u a list of NS, but u would have to call all to see if they even know what chiari is.....our list is of drs that members used for their surgery and added only after they liked them.

Many of us do need to travel to get to a true chiari dr.

I do suggest u research all drs....but it is easier to know that one has had success and has done the surgery and has the information as to what chiari is...so half ur battle is won.

But u have to be comfortable with the dr, and u have to choose which is right for u.

The Dr that was in NC....no longer has a license to practice.....and I do not know of ne in VA and WV off hand.

NL r difficult to find, so ask the NS's who they work with one u find a NS : )
