MRI Report- Help!?

Hey All
I had a follow up MRI since I hadn't had one in 2 years and I picked up my MRI report today. Was hoping someone could help me decipher what it means.....   I had my NL appt already and she said my MRI was unchanged compared to the one 2 years ago, however she didnt go over the scan or report at all with me so I picked it up out of curiousity.
On my 1st MRI (laying down one) my measurement was 10mm.   This MRI (upright) it says 1.2cm.   In my opinion.. that would be considered a CHANGE!  Is that something to be concerned with?!

Also the report states "Nonspecific fluid signal is demonstrated in a small number of the mastoid air cells at the right mastoid process that is unchanged since previous exam.  Left mastoid air cells and both tympanic cavities are well aerated."                What does that mean!?  To me.. it sounds like there is something 'off' with the right side?

The only thing I know is the mastoid cells should be filled with air, it sounds like the there mayb  some fluid on the right side, the left seems ok....this may affect balance...not sure since it should be air, I would think if it had some fluid that it may affect balance.

Have u had a recent  or ongoing earaches? or infections?

Right... 2 mm doesn't sound huge... I was just thinking any change in the downward displacement wasn't a good thing! Lol  But gravity does make sense....
I have not had a CINE, our local hospital that I have been going to does not offer CINE and my NL/NS do not seem to think its necessary, however, they also dont seem to know much about my condition either.
Do you have any idea what the mastoid part of the report is referring to or have you heard of it?  Im getting pretty good with big words and crazy medical terminology... but that is one I haven't heard yet!

Hi, there will always be a difference with  a MRI that is laying down and one that is upright...gravity will play a role in the length.

Plus, 10 mm = 1 cm so it is not really that big a change....

What u want to know is is it creating a CSF obstruction...did u have a CINE MRI too?
