MRI question

What do you make of this MRI.  Father has Chiari, and syringomyelia.  G-father also had syringomyelia in the lumbar spine.  Also 25 yr old nephew with syring. My brain mri, and cervical xray are a mess.

Not being a medical professional I can only give my opinion from what I have learned from my own experience and suggest whom to research in your area keeping in mind it is Drs informed and experienced with Chiari that are rare not this condition so you may have to travel to get to the right Dr for you.

I have not been diagnosed with Chiari, or SM, but I truly believe this is what is wrong.  I think I've had this my entire life, but has always been pushed off as stress.  I truly just dislike Dr's in general.  I would like to send you my reports, and give me input on it.  I'll also send you my symptoms, and history of things.  Thank you so much.

You are welcome....and post as much as you need that is why this forum is here......

Since you have breathing issues do ask about a sleep study......there is a company that will do in home studies which is easier on you and  more accurate....NovaSom is the company and is covered by INS.....

Looking forward to updates.

Thank you for the welcome.  The report claims no herniation, but I have several other abnormalities.  I just received a xray report of my neck today, and have several issues with that as well.  Hoping that they will send me for a MRI of my spine, hoping my full spine.  As far as overall health.  I have been a mess for about 5 months now. It's driving me crazy.  My biggest problem that scares me, is that I can not breathe.  It is a horrible feeling.  I have many other issues, but that bothers me.  Hope you don't mind, as I will probably have many questions, and will list my results to see what everyone thinks.

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

After looking at the other pics you posted I can see you do have some over crowding....and not being able to measure the herniation I can not state any thing else....but I would venture to say you have Chiari.....and should have more testing to see how it is affecting you and your overall health and rule out ALL related condition's.
