JMHO....It definitely looks as though you have low lying cerebellar tonsils, but like Rebecca said they'll probably call it Chiari 0 if you can even get that much out of them!!
If your symptoms are bad and obviously they are or you wouldn't be here asking, then I would search out the nearest Chiari specialist and have it checked out. Yours looks a lot like mine and I am 5.5mm I couldn't measure yours but there is a tool when you are looking at you disc on the computer that will allow you to measure it just make sure you are at the right angel and measure several different slices as you will get different measurments.

Good Luck to you :)

Hi there!

I just took a quick look, and it certainly seems like your cerebellum tonsils are plugging the foramen magnum!

However, based on measurements, you may not fall into the "Chiari I" camp, since I don't think the herniation, based on this view, would measure more than 6mm.  Of course, Chiari should NOT be diagnosed based on herniation size, but sadly, many neurosurgeons only use this outdated criteria.

I pray you will be able to be quickly and accurately diagnosed.
