NS Appointment Today

We saw the PA, not the NS today.  Mike had a pretty good day yesterday and a good day today as well.  So - we're going with the wait an see right now.  They seem to think that part of his swimmy headedness is that his body is getting used to spinal fluid flowing normally now after not flowing for so long.  Hoping they are right and he continues to improve.  We shall see.

They did change some of his meds.  Gave him a refill on the Valium and started him on Fiorcet.  Also gave us a script for Thorazine for the hiccup problem.

Endocrinology appointment is Friday at 2pm.

Here at my keyboard, I'm rather wishing that he didn't have that return to work date.  But, hopefully, he'll feel up to it.

I'm already disabled (and/or retired), but I know that I dont feel "responsible" at all; just picking a new cell phone plan gave me a big HA!

They are hoping he continue to improve as he has the last 2 days.  As far as returning to work, they said he can go back at the 6 week mark for a few hours at a time and work up from there.  We see the NS again 9/20.

Wow, Thorazine is a nuclear weapon for hiccups.

I think I would've asked if they've seen this before, is there an expectation for improvement in the short run?  & what about returning to work?
