Newly Diagnosed

I was recently diagnosed with CM1 on 10/15/09 and possible Pseudotumor Cerebri. It is definitely draining on me because of my many symptoms. I get the headaches (nonstop), tingling and numbness in my arms and legs, vision disturbances, balance is off, loss of words and thoughts, concentration is off, loss of sensation in my legs/arms, the tingles in my head, the pain in my neck and shoulders...I can go on and on....
I currently have an appointment with Dr. Heffez in Wisconsin set for Nov 18....has anyone heard anything good or bad on him?
I also have an appointment with a Dr. Gail Rosseau in Chicago...does anyone have any good or bad things on her?

I'm still new to the whole thought of having this and the outcome of surgery. For years I was told I had migraines and that my other symptoms were manifestations and that I need to go on anti-depressants. Personally, I think the doctors who told me that were the crazy ones, but hey, we all live and learn.

Yes, we have one member up at WI CC now...n40066, and one is scheduled for next week...and one that had surgery already.
I am sure they will pop on to fill u in.

I have herad of Dr G. Rosseau b4, but outside that...and that she is a chiari specialist...can't give ne thing first hand.

I had surgery this past May....and I do have pics and a journal of my experience in my profile page ...u r welcome to read.

Hi Sheila,

I can't say too much yet about Dr. H. I have an appt. at WICC scheduled for Tues. the 10th (for tests) and Wed. to see an nl and ns (Dr, H) so I will let you know how that goes after my appt. But from what I hear from one of the members that had an appt. there this week it is a wonderful place to go. The docotrs actually care and do their best to explain everything to you and to answer any questions you may have. Also their customer service is outstanding.
I'm sorry you are going through everything that you are right now but you have definatly found the right place here at MH. Everyone here is just amazing. Everyone can relat to how you are feeling and can answer the questions you have or atleast try to direct you to a place where you can hopefully get them answered. The family here will support you in any way they can.
Like I said I will let you know how everything goes next week. I hope you are having a good day and if you need anything or just want to talk or rant...lol you can PM me anytime.
