Occipital Injections

Anyone have their neurosurgeon suggest occiptal nerve pain injections at the original surgery site? I am having a TERRIBLE recovery from my decompression a year ago amd wondered if this helped anyone?  Thanks!  Debbie

That is not something that I have tried though I find it really interesting. It is also something that I have seen others post on in the past. Hopefully they will post here for you but you may want to enter "occipital injections" at the "Search this Community" bar.

What are your recovery issues that has led to this recommendation? I ask this question because I had a lot of pain issues with my neck muscle since surgery, especially right where the attach to the back of my skull. I would appreciate being able to compare, and who knows maybe we will have info that can help each other?

I am with Carolyn on this, I have not had this either...but the search this community feature will show u other threads where this topic was discussed.

I wish I had more info to share regarding this.
